Multinodular Goitre

It is a cut section of thyroidectomy specimen showing asymmetric and extreme enlargement of thyroid gland.

Cut section shows multiple nodules separated by fibrous septa and of varying sizes ranging from 1cm to 2.5cm.

The nodules are poorly circumscribed.

Areas of haemorrhages, scarring and cysts filled with brown coloured colloid is seen.
